Joolz Scarlett
CEO
I have over 25 years in teaching and school leadership, 5 in mainstream Primary, 20 in Alternative Provision and SEND school leadership.
I joined Manor Green School in 2013 as the Assistant Headteacher for the secondary department and was very fortunate to be appointed Headteacher in September 2016. I have loved working at Manor Green and enjoyed being surrounded by a variety of amazing young people and staff, which fulfils my passion for inclusion and working with children.
I grew up locally in Berkshire, I have two adult children and I enjoy horse-riding, cold-water swimming and live music in my free time.

My area of expertise is in SEND pedagogy and improving the quality of education and ultimately life outcomes for our pupils. I am a School Improvement Advisor for 6 special schools and am in a national SEND school improvement network. I also sit on the executive board of the South and West Association of Special Schools (SWALSS) and am a Trustee on a local large Trust.
My home life is kept busy with 5 grandchildren, a large garden and a love of cooking.
